Kemi Olunloyo Rearrested And Put Back In Prison

Controversial US trained journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has been sent back to prison for failing to meet her bail conditions.

Yesterday, in series of posts made on her Facebook and Twitter pages, Olunloyo said she may be rearrest because her bail was yet to be perfected. She said;

“I may be rearrested. My magistrate bail of N200K was not perfected. The prison says the warrant was cancelled. Judicial error?? ??”

She went on to give full details of why the rearrest was ordered, adding that she has surrendered her mobile devices and won’t be able to make contact with the outside world again until July 5th, her next court hearing date.

Kemi Olunloyo said on Facebook;

“I need N100,000 to get a surety to perfect my magistrate bail so I don’t sleep in prison tonight. I am in high spirits!!! I WAS ARRESTED AGAIN TILL JULY 5th 2017. Im in the court cell.

Prisons were served a court order and the court register said it was not ready yesterday or this morning. They purposely delayed it so that the prison can’t get it on time. The court started and they released the order taken to the prison. Too late. The judiciary has failed me!!

Case in magistrate court was not perfected. Prison says it was a cancelled warrant. Complainant lawyers and prosecutor says no. I was “miraculously” freed says the prosecutor,”
